Manchester United Finally Hold Talks With Carlos Tevez

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have started talking with striker Carlos Tevez about a permanent deal. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said,

“I have had a chat with him today. David Gill has had some meetings today and it has progressed, I’m sure, further.”

“We hope we get what we want to get. I’m sorry to have to keep on with this all the time, but it has never changed.”

“We are not negotiating with a football club, that is the problem … I think Carlos himself is okay. I think the terms he has been offered are good.”

Carlos Tevez is owned by Media Sports Investment.

According to Martin Blackburn at The Sun, Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce wants to acquire Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic on loan. A Senior Rovers source supposedly said,

“We heard he could be available and are starting to think about next season now our Premier League place is all but secured … Sam has worked with big-name stars before and would like to do so again with Rovers.”

Liverpool Make Take-It-Or-Leave-It Offer For David Silva?

UPDATE: According to David Maddock at the Daily Mirror, Liverpool made a £15million take-it-or-leave-it offer for Valencia midfielder David Silva.

May 13th, 2009 According to Francisco Acedo at Sky Sports, David Silva’s agent Jose Segui admitted that clubs are interested in David Silva although any decision to leave will be made by Valencia. Segui said,

“At this time it is normal there are many stories in the papers about transfers, but the decision depends on Valencia.””It is certain that some clubs have asked about the boy, but he has a deal with Valencia and he is happy in the city.”

Roman Pavlyuchenko Wants To Stay At Tottenham

Mark Viduka Wants To Spend More Time With Newcastle

According to ESPN Soccernet, Newcastle striker Mark Viduka wants to spend more time at the club. Viduka told the Sydney Morning Herald,

“I would love to spend some more time at this club … That’s my personal thing. I would love to have good times here, and with Alan Shearer as a boss, this club has a lot of potential.”

“I have been here for two years and we’ve had five managers. I would say to whoever is in charge, keep Alan for as long as he needs.”

“The fans love him, he is Newcastle through and through, he is a big personality, people respect him and the players respect him.”

According to Peter O’Rourke at Sky Sports, Xabi Alonso’s agent Ignacio Ibanez has admitted that he has not heard of any interest from other clubs and that Xabi Alonso is happy at Liverpool. He told the site,

“I know nothing about these reports … As Xabi has always said he is happy at Liverpool and focused on them.”

Manchester City and Arsenal have both been linked with the Spanish midfielder.

According to Sky Sports, Benfica defender Luisao is interested in the link with Manchester City and feels it is a dream to play in England. He told Globoesporte,

“I have not received any offer or contact yet … I have not spoken with my agent for some days, but I will call him to know if he has something.”

“For me it is very interesting. Everyone dreams of playing in England and I am not different. I am glad but, for now, I have a contract with Benfica, where I am also happy.”

According to Tim Oscroft at the Manchester City Official Website, Manchester City boss Mark Hughes admitted that he is not going after Real Madrid striker Raul. Mark Hughes said,

“Raul is an exceptionally talented and great player and has been for many years. He is someone I clearly admire and respect enormously and has done great things for his club and his country but I have not tried to sign him. He will not be coming to City.”
