According to Ben Blackmore at Sentata Sports, Liverpool are scouting Feyenoord striker Luc Castaignos. The striker is thought to cost around  €4 million but may increase if there is competition for him.

Schwarzer Admits Discussions Have Begun With Fulham

According to Tom Adams at Setanta Sports, Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer admitted that contract discussions have begun with him and the club. Schwarzer said,

“There’s been a few discussions … And I feel as good, if not better, than when I first signed for Fulham.

At this stage in my career, if the manager backs you and you continue to play week in, week out, then why not continue to play for as long as possible?”

David Wheater To Cost £9 Million

Arsenal Rumors: Senderos, Gallas

According to Tom Adams at Setanta Sports, defender Phillipe Senderos would like to stay at AC Milan instead of going back to Arsenal. Senderos told Milan Channel,

“I feel very good here and I would like to stay …  I know that the decision does not depend on me, but on the two clubs … At the beginning it was a little difficult because of the injury suffered and I wanted to show my qualities by starting well, but injuries are a part of football.”

“I have worked extensively with the coach and I have always had the support of my peers and the club and this helped me a lot for the second part of the season where I played a little more.”

According to Alan Dawson at Goal.com, Arsenal defender William Gallas is drawing interest from PSG and Marseille.

“Paul Hart told him that he doesn’t need him anymore, for the moment he can go for holidays … It would be a surprise if something changes.”

Blackburn Boss Denies Link With Amr Zaki

According to Sky Sports, Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is not going after Amr Zaki, who’s loan deal with Wigan Athletic ends at the end of the season. When asked about the reports linking the club to Zaki, Allardyce said,

“There’s nothing in that one, no”

It is being said that Amr Zaki will make the decision about his future next month as Wigan Athletic will not be making his loan deal permanent.

Manchester City Sign 16-Year-Old Defender

Arsenal Target Doesn’t Mind Staying At Club One More Year

According to Giscard Gourizro at Sky Sports, Arsenal target and Monaco defender Cedric Mongongu is flattered by Arsenal’s interest but admitted he doesn’t mind staying another year with his club. Mongongu said,

“I have a contract until June 2010 and I have been approached by Monaco to sign for more years … I will not say anything yet, however when you hear Arsenal and Juve are after you, it makes you think.

“But I am still young and want my club to finish the season on a high. I won’t mind staying one more year here.”

Ronaldo Hints That He Will Be Staying At Manchester United

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo hinted that he will be staying at the club despite all the rumors linking him with Real Madrid. Ronaldo told Atena 3,

“At the moment I’m only thinking about the (Champions League) final independently of what will happen to me or my team-mates next season.”

“I’m sure Perez would create an incredible team at Madrid but at the moment I’m at United and I don’t care about what happens there.:

“I only care about what will happen next season at Manchester United.”
