“I have decided that I want to leave. It will be Real Madrid or nothing … I will wait to see how things pan out but I would like to hold talks with the Bayern management soon.”

“Everything is in the balance … I think it will happen naturally over the next day or two. I’ll either be sitting watching him shaking someone’s hand and holding a shirt up somewhere at an English Premier League club, or you will all come back here in a few days’ time and meet the guy yourself.”

“That is news to us but if so, so be it. We are now in a three-horse race as opposed to a two-horse race … We are confident we are still in the pole position but these things are always a concern when they are not done and dusted.”

“We’ve spoken to the player, to his agent and to the president of Nancy and were very encouraged … Now we’re awaiting an answer from the player that we’re the favoured club ahead of Celtic.”

“We’re hopeful of getting something done, maybe that will happen this week … But there’s always that doubt in your mind that so long as he’s out there, someone can be interested in him. He did play well last season and endeared himself to the Premier League.”

“I read that he wants to leave, that his wife is not happy at Manchester but all of these stories are false … He is very annoyed and saddened by these stories that give the wrong impression.”

Liverpool Interested In D’Agostino, But Juventus Lead The Hunt

According to Adam Scime at Goal.com, Tuttomercatoweb is reporting that Liverpool are interested in Udinese midfielder Gaetano D’Agostino but Juventus lead the chase for him. Udinese sporting director Sergio Gasperin said,

“I can confirm the interest of the foreign club [Liverpool], but these are only inquiries, there is nothing concrete.”

“Juventus is absolutely still in pole position and the deal could pick up again in the next few hours. We are working on the economic aspects.”

“Udinese want €18 million, while Juventus have bid €15m, so the difference has been made up and there is optimism among the parties involved.”
