Blackburn To Negotiate New Deals With Dunn, Reid, Petersen

According to ESPN Soccernet, Blackburn are going to begin contract negotiations with midfielders David Dunn, Steven Reid, and Morten Gamst Pedersen. Both are entering the final years of their current contracts. Blackburn chairman John Williams said,

“David and Steven have both got a year left, so we’ll sit down and have a chat with them, … We’ve got David, Steven and Morten in that position.”

Manchester City striker Jo is expected to join Everton once again on a season-long loan.

Hull City have an agreement in place for Fulham striker Bobby Zamora. However the deal is based on whether Fulham can find a replacement.

Blackburn are interested in £2.2 million Le Mans defender Gergory Cerdan.

Manchester United Look Like They Will Sign Obertan

According to ESPN Soccernet, L’Equipe is reporting that Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud admitted that Manchester United are leading the way for midfielder Gabriel Obertan. He said,

“There is a very strong likelihood that the deal will go ahead … Manchester United want to sign him and, for our part, we would be delighted to see Gabriel playing for such a prestigious club.”

“We will make the official announcement when the time is right.”

Inter Milan Feel There Is No Need To Buy Deco & Carvalho

UPDATE: According to Sky Sports News, Inter Milan believe that there is no need a the moment to purchase Chelsea midfielder Deco and defender Ricardo Carvalho. Inter president Massimo Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport,

“Deco and Carvalho? They are two champions but at this time I don’t feel there’s a need to buy them.”

July 2nd, 2009 According to Adam Scime at Goal.com, the Daily Express is reporting that negotiations between Chelsea and Inter Milan for Deco and Ricardo Carvalho are at a stall. They are reporting that Chelsea want €14million for the pair and Inter Milan don’t want to pay that much.

UPDATE: According to Chelsea’s official website, Chelsea have agreed to a deal with CSKA Moscow for midfielder Yuri Zhirkov. Now Chelsea and Zhirkov will work out a deal.

July 5th, 2009 According to Richard Bailey at Sky Sports News, Sport Express is reporting that Yuri Zhirkov has flown to London to undergo a physical for Chelsea.

June 30th, 2009 According to Ashley Gray at the Daily Mail, Chelsea officials are in Moscow to try and complete a deal for CSKA Moscow footballer Yuri Zhirkov. It is being reported that the fee will be around £18million and Chelsea will offer Zhirkov a three-year deal worth £80,000-a-week.
