Fulham’s Second Bid For Greening Rejected
UPDATE: According to ESPN Soccernet, Fulham made a second bid worth £3.25million for West Bromwich midfielder Jonathan Greening. However that bid was rejected as well.
July 15th, 2009 According to ESPN Soccernet, West Bromwich footballer Jonathan Greening handed in a transfer request.
July 14th, 2009 According to Chris Lepkowski at the Birmingham Mail, West Bromwich have rejected Fulham’s bid for Jonathan Greening. West Bromwich chairman Jeremy Peace said,
“Contrary to reports this is the only offer we’ve received from Fulham … Jonathan is our captain and a vital member of the squad.”
“Therefore we didn’t give Fulham’s offer a second thought … It is derisory for a player of Jonathan’s talent and experience.”
July 13th, 2009 According to John Percy at the Daily Star, Fulham’s bid of £2.5million + Hameur Bouazza has been accepted by West Bromwich for Jonathan Greening.
