August 6th, 2009 According to ESPN Soccernet, Tottenham have agreed to a fee for Newcastle defender Sebastien Bassong, which is thought to be around £8million.

According to Arsenal’s official website, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking for two new players, one defensive and one offensive player. He said,

“We can still make do with one or two players more … One could be in the defensive areas, and one in the attacking areas.”
