According to Hull City’s official website, striker Jozy Altidore has been granted a work permit to play for Hull City.

According to Birmingham’s official website, Birmingham goalkeeper Artur Kyrsiak was loaned out to Burton Albion for one-month.

According to Tottenham’s official website, Tottenham have loaned out midfielder Jake Livermore to Derby County for one-month.

According to Liverpool’s official website, Liverpool winger Adam Hammill made his loan move to Barnsley permanent.

Rothen Not A Priority For Blackburn

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, PSG midfielder Jerome Rothen interests Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce but he is not a main priority. Allardyce said,

“Jerome Rothen is of an interest to us but he is a left sider and I don’t feel as though we need strengthening in the wide positions.”

“Left and right we are pretty strong. Brett is on his way back, we have Dioufy, Elrio, Morten, young Junior who looks bright … From that point of view I don’t think that is priority.”

Hull City Hope To Sign Henri Camara

According to the Hull Daily Mail, Hull City are interested in signing free-agent striker Henri Camara, who has been training with the club. Boss Phil Brown said,

“I was impressed with certain things that Henri provided … He’s got something different that we haven’t got and if we can sit down and thrash out a deal, then there’s a possibility he could be a Hull City player. I’m sure we’ll do that in the next 48 hours.”

Wolves Deal For Harper Not Going To Happen

UPDATE: According to Anthony Smith at the Reading Chronicle, Wolverhampton’s deal with Reading midfielder James Harper has broken down. Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said,

“We had an interest in him but it’s not going any further. It’s not going to happen.”

August 6th, 2009 According to the Reading Chronicle, Wolverhampton are looking to sign Reading midfielder James Harper. Reading boss Brendan Rodgers said,

“He travelled up to meet with Mick. There is interest there. He went up to speak to them yesterday but now he is back training with us … He spoke to Mick and they are keen to get him but at the moment it is still in the balance.”

Kranjcar To Leave Portsmouth Next Summer

According to The News, Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar admitted that he will be leaving the club next summer when his contract expires. He said,

“For now I am staying, but we have not strengthened like I would have liked us to … That’s why I will not sign a new contract. It’s one more season for me and then I’m off.”

Despite these feelings, executive chairman Peter Storrie admitted that they will still try to convince him to change his mind.
