Bikey Completes Medical For Burnley
UPDATE: According to Anthony Smith at the Reading Chronicle, Reading defender Andre Bikey has passed a medical for Burnley. The agreed fee between the two clubs is thought to be around £3million.
August 13th, 2009 According to Burnley’s official website, Burnley boss Owen Coyle admitted that he has made an enquiry for Reading defender Andre Bikey. Coyle said,
“I have made an enquiry, but he is one of a number of players we have made an enquiry about … I made it to Reading and that is in the public domain, for whatever reason, but we will have to see how that goes.”
“If we were going to be talking about every player we had been linked with, or made a general enquiry about, then it would get quite tiresome.”
“There are a number of players who we feel could enhance our squad and time will tell whether the aforementioned played is one of them.”
August 12th, 2009 According to Alan Nixon at the Daily Mirror, Burnley hope to complete the signing of Reading defender Andre Bikey for £2.8million within the next 24 hours.
