Fulham Boss Hopes To Sign Damien Duff

According to Mirror Football, Fulham boss Roy Hodgson hopes to sign Newcastle midfielder Damien Duff after making a £4million bid for him. Hodgson said,

“Damien is a player that interests us. The clubs are talking and we hope a deal goes through … Damien and I go back a long way from when we worked together at Blackburn. He wants to come back to west London.”

“He had injury problems at Chelsea but has done well at Newcastle given the turmopil there … And every time he’s played for Ireland he’s consistently been one of their best performers.”

“We know what we’d be getting with Damian Duff - he’s an experienced and quality player.”
