Official: Aston Villa Sign Hull City Target Beye
UPDATE: According to Aston Villa’s official website, Aston Villa have signed Newcastle defender Habib Beye for an undisclosed fee. Beye signed a three-year deal with the club.
August 6th, 2009 According to Sky Sports News, Hull City have agreed to a fee for Newcastle defender Habib Beye. Hull City chairman Paul Duffen said,
“Habib Beye is a player we believe can add quality to the Hull squad …We are hoping to engage in conversation with him in the next couple of days.”
August 1st, 2009 According to Football Spy at the Daily Mirror, Hull City are still interested in Newcastle footballer Habib Beye despite having their £2million bid rejected. Hull boss Phil Brown said,
“We’ve gone as far as a bid for Beye, but we’re awaiting discussions at the Newcastle end.”
