Official: Wigan Athletic Sign Amaya
UPDATE: According to Wigan Athletic’s official website, Wigan Athletic have signed Rayo Vallecano defender Antonio Amaya. Amaya signed a three-year deal with the club.
August 12th, 2009 According to Alan Nixon at the Daily Mirror, Wigan Athletic were set to sign Rayo Vallecano midfielder Mohamed Diame. However the club has put the signing on hold due to a heart issue discovered while he was taking a medical.
However it is also reported that the club still looks set to sign Diame’s teammate Antonio Amaya.
