Bacary Sagna Not Looking To Leave Arsenal

According to Simone Bargellini at Sky Sports News, Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has no desire to leave the club despite rumored interest from Juventus. His agent Christophe Mongai told tuttomercatoweb.it,

“Juventus have contacted us, but not recently and, in any case, they have never made an offer to Arsenal … It’s possible that Juventus has spoken directly with Arsenal, but nowadays the will of the player is decisive and he is fine in London and focused on his club and his national team.”

“It is normal that a player like Sagna is linked with great clubs, for example Real Madrid last summer, but even if they made offers the player would not move … In football, you never know what the future may hold. If one day Sagna will become unhappy we might start looking around, and the Italian championship and Juventus, who admires him, could become a possibility.”

“But this is not the right moment.”

Portsmouth’s Ritchie Wants To Stay At Notts County

According to Jordan Cross at The News, Portsmouth midfielder Matt Ritchie would like to permanently stay at Notts County, where he is currently on loan. Ritchie said,

“I want to stay, nothing has changed with the old manager going … I am settled, I am playing regularly and learning a lot every day by training and playing with so many experienced players.”

“I hope the new manager wants to keep me. He is a good coach and I am sure he can make me a better player … I think I have played all right but there is still a lot more to come from me.”

Julio Baptista Not Going To Tottenham

According to ESPN Soccernet, Roma are not exchanging striker Julio Baptista for Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko. Baptista’s agent Herminio Menendez told romannews.eu,

“There is no truth in these reports claiming he is set for an exchange in January … Julio is currently away with the national side. Any possible discussion is postponed until the future.”

Manchester City One Of The Leaders For Sissoko

John Terry Expects To See New Faces This January

According to Andrew Dillon at The Sun, Chelsea captain John Terry expects to see new faces at the club this January especially since there is no telling if the club’s transfer ban might be enforced again. He said,

“It’s good news about the transfer ban being suspended but we lose four good players to the African Nations Cup in January anyway.”

“I’m sure the club and the manager are looking into that and having good talks with Roman … I wouldn’t be surprised if we do go out and buy because we don’t know what’s going to happen in the summer - or the following summer.”

Subotic Not Interested In Manchester City

According to MirrorFootball, Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic is not interested in joining Manchester City. He told Bild,

“Of course it is flattering to have my name linked with a top club in England …Manchester City are so rich that they can practically buy any player they want.”

“I have only just extended my contract until 2014 and I am also very happy privately in Dortmund … I still want to achieve something with Dortmund and I owe this also to Jurgen Klopp, who brought me here from Mainz.”

Official: Kitson Joins Middlesbrough On Loan

UPDATE: According to Stoke City’s official website, Stoke City striker David Kitson has joined Middlesbrough on a two-month loan deal.

November 16th, 2009 According to Martin Spinks at WhyDelilah, Stoke City are in negotiations with Middlesbrough to loan out striker Dave Kitson. Kitson will most likely be loaned out until January where the two teams will consider making the deal permanent at that time.

Danny Simpson Would Not Mind Joining Newcastle Permanently

According to the Sunderland Echo, Danny Simpson stated that he would not mind leaving Manchester United to join Newcastle where he is currently on loan. He said,

“Obviously, I’m enjoying my football here, and if I do well enough to get an offer, then I’ll consider it, as I’m enjoying my football at the moment … I just want to get as many games under my belt as I can until January. I’ve not got a clue (what will happen in the transfer window) – I’m just taking it game by game.”

“It’s nice to be wanted, and it would be nice at the end of the loan spell for Chris and all the staff to say they want me to stay … Hopefully, my performances will warrant that. You want to play on a Saturday afternoon, and I’m no different.”
