Marek Hamsik Is Going Nowhere
UPDATE: According to Anthony Wright at Goal.com, Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon admitted that the club will not sell Marek Hamsik, despite drawing interest from Chelsea and Manchester United. He told Radio Marte,
“Manchester United are after Hamsik? If we rejected the rumours regarding a friend like [Carlo] Ancelotti and his Chelsea, it’s obvious we also reject these rumours … There is no room for negotiations for Marek’s transfer.”
November 18th, 2009 According to the Daily Mail, Napoli have stated that they plan on holding onto midfielder Marek Hamsik despite interest from Chelsea. Napoli sporting director Riccardo Bigon told Sky Italia,
“We have not received any official offer … If some clubs are monitoring our players it gives us pleasure because it means we are doing a good job. But Hamsik is an important player and he will remain with us.”
