According to Scott Burns at the Daily Express, Celtic boss Tony Mowbray would like to acquire 17-year-old Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan for six months. Assistant Mark Venus is reported to have watched Wilshere recently against the Aston Villa reserve team.

November 30th, 2009 According to ESPN Soccernet, the 20 English Premier League teams combined to spend £70.7million on agent fees last season (counting the January and summer transfer windows). Some of the big spenders were:

Manchester City: Almost £13 million

Chelsea: £9.5 million

Liverpool: £6.7 million

Tottenham: £6.1 million

He answers many questions posted by Pompey fans and even brought up an interesting name. He mentions that columnist Ian Darke suggested that Avram Grant go out and sign Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge on loan. Other than the fact that Chelsea might need him when they lose Drogba and Kalou, it would make sense for both clubs.

Blackburn Want Di Santo Longer On Loan

According to Chris Flanagan at the Lancashire Telegraph, Blackburn have approached Chelsea about extending the loan deal of striker Franco di Santo. However Chelsea might decide to bring him back when his current loan deal ends as they will lose Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou to the African Cup of Nations.

Everton are also reported to be interested in signing the 20-year-old Chelsea striker.

UPDATE: According to Simone Bargellini at Sky Sports News, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti said that he does not plan on going after Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini. He told Tuttomercato,

“Surely Pazzini has some great features and excellent quality … But Chelsea is not interested in his purchase.”

November 29th, 2009 According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen was seen scouting Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini last weekend.

November 23rd, 2009 According to Rick D’Andrea at Goal.com, Sampdoria director Giuseppe Marotta admitted that the club would like to hold onto Giampaolo Pazzini. He told Sampdorianews.net,

“Giampaolo is second on the goalscoring ladder … And this is most pleasing … The interest from clubs across the Channel is somewhere in the middle between what was written, and what has actually occurred … We have not spoken to anyone, and will hold onto him very tightly.”

November 21st, 2009 According to Salvatore Landolina at Goal.com, La Gazzetta Dello Sport is reporting that Arsenal are interested in Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini and are willing to offer €18million. However Sampdoria supposedly want at least €25million for him.

Jose Enrique Does Not Want To Leave Newcastle

UPDATE: According to Pa Sports at MirrorFootball, Newcastle defender Jose Enrique admitted that he does not want to leave the club, despite being linked with Sunderland. Enrique said,

“I don’t care about Sunderland. Even if the newspapers said Chelsea, I wouldn’t care … I worry for my team - I love the city, I love the club and I don’t care about signing for another team. I don’t read the papers because I don’t understand English that well! Some players were joking with me about what it said.”

November 28th, 2009 According to Brian McNally at MirrorFootball, Sunderland are interested in Newcastle defender Jose Enrique. It is reported that Newcastle are not interested in selling off its players but they are rumored to be interested in Sunderland winger Kieran Richardson. A swap of both players is a possibility as they are both valued around the same price.

Chelsea Targeting Romelu Lukaku

Last week the club supposedly made a €10million bid for him as well as a one-year loan-back agreement that was rejected. Lukaku has scored 8 goals in 14 appearances for the club.

According to ESPN Soccernet, Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud stated that selling striker Marouane Chamakh, who has been linked with Arsenal, is out of the question. He told L’Equipe,

“I don’t have any information on the subject … Besides, as far as we are concerned, it is out of the question … Marouane is a decisive player, and we have important challenges ahead in the league and the Champions League. If we fail to achieve our goals, we will lose money. Anyway, we will not do anything without [coach] Laurent Blanc’s approval.”

Krasic Drawing Interest From Premier League

According to Simone Bargellini at Sky Sports News, CSKA Moscow midfielder Milos Krasic has drawn interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea. His agent Dejan Joksimovic told Calciomercato,

“I think that if Krasic leaves CSKA in January, he is 90 per cent likely to go to England … Manchester United? There are three or four big English clubs, with important financial resources, interested in him.”

“In January it is much more probable the English track will be followed, also because there aren’t problems about extra EU players.”

Tottenham Considering Move For Doumbia
