Celtic Boss Rules Out Selling Aiden McGeady
UPDATE: According to Mark Wilson at the Daily Mail, Celtic boss Tony Mowbray ruled out selling Celtic midfielder Aiden McGeady. Mowbray said,
“No, I think when you are trying to build something you don’t lose one of the most important parts of it,’ he said. ‘Particularly at this club, you need individual talent at times to break defences down and Aiden produces that element. ”
“If you lost Aiden McGeady you would have to find somebody in a similar mode. So, while Aiden’s happy and I’m happy, and the team’s benefiting from his talent, we’ll keep it going. I don’t see a scenario with Aiden at the moment of it even becoming an issue.
‘I think Aiden’s content and we’ve got no desire to bring the money in to build a team with anything that might be on offer. There’s an understanding that we can still add to our squad without having to sell footballers at the moment.”
December 5th, 2009 According to Stephen McGowan at the Daily Mail, Birmingham are preparing to make an offer for Celtic winger Aiden McGeady. McGeady has stated that he is happy at the club but that he wants to play in one of the top European leagues someday.
