“I think he will sign later today … There are no major problems and it’s all sorted out now … It gives us an opportunity to have one more centre-back. At the moment, (Philippe) Senderos has been injured and because we haven’t extended his contract we want to give Senderos the opportunity as well to join another club.”
January 12th, 2010 According to ESPN Soccernet, defender Sol Campbell, who played with the Arsenal reserve squad earlier today, intends to sign with Arsenal for the rest of the season . Campbell said,
“I need to get minutes under my belt, a couple of reserve games at least, before I can start looking any further ahead. I hope to sign for Arsenal until the end of the season. There are still a few technicalities to iron out, but I want to sign for Arsenal until the end of the season, and it’s fantastic, great, marvellous.”
