January 26th, 2026 According to Peter O’Rourke at Sky Sports News, Bolton look set to sign Wilshere on loan in the next 48 hours.

January 17th, 2010 According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger does not want to send midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan to FC Twente as he would prefer him to play in the Premier League. Wenger said,

“I’ve heard Twente are interested, but I would prefer Jack to play in the Premier League … It is easier for us to observe him and come to the conclusion that he is ready to play for us next year.”

January 14th, 2010 According to James Olley at the London Evening Standard, Bolton boss Owen Coyle is still interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere on loan.

According to Matt Lawton at the Daily Mail, FC Twente manager Steve McLaren is interested in signing Jack Wilshere on loan. However McLaren must first sell to free up money to spend on Wilshere’s wages.

January 19th, 2010 According to Sky Sports News, Philippe Senderos would be interested in a move to Celtic. Senderos said,

“I am very honoured that a big club like Celtic are interested in me and a loan deal right now would suit me perfectly … My main priority is to get back playing regular football. I really miss that … The World Cup this summer is a really big thing for me. I know that if I’m not playing regularly my chances of playing in South Africa will be badly affected.”

“It would be my second World Cup and I want to get the best possible build-up to it … Unfortunately, I haven’t played a lot of football recently and that’s why I feel I have to leave Arsenal … Hopefully something will be in place over the next few days but I’ll wait and see.”

“I’m looking to send him out on loan … We have a few clubs in mind … Galindo is a player who has good technique. He’s intelligent, 6ft 2ins tall, left-footed with good stamina. He is a central midfielder who can give good balls. He has good vision too which we like here.”

January 15th, 2010 According to ESPN Soccernet, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking to sign free agent defender Sol Campbell. Wenger said,

“I think he will sign later today … There are no major problems and it’s all sorted out now … It gives us an opportunity to have one more centre-back. At the moment, (Philippe) Senderos has been injured and because we haven’t extended his contract we want to give Senderos the opportunity as well to join another club.”
