Mancienne Will Not Stay Permanently With Wolves

According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne will not make his loan deal permanently with Wolverhampton. When asked if he would stay full-time, Mancienne said,

“I don’t think so. I am definitely going back to Chelsea. I want to try and fight for my place … I think I have a good chance of getting (in the team) … I’ve just got to keep doing what I’m doing, and keep playing well, and then I think I’ll give myself a bigger opportunity of playing in that team.”

“I am enjoying playing week in and week out. That is what I need to better myself and improve as a footballer because I can’t sit on the bench and improve … I think I made the right decision (coming to Wolves). Coming to Wolves has improved me as a player. I am playing regular football in the best league in the world.”

Official: Birmingham Completes Deal For Gardner

UPDATE: According to Birmingham’s official website, the deal has been completed. Gardner has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the club.

January 22nd, 2010 According to Birmingham’s official website, Birmingham have agreed to pay £3million for Craig Gardner. The deal will be completed once Gardner passes a medical and agrees to personal terms.

January 16th, 2010 According to Colin Tattumat the Birmingham Mail, Birmingham have increased their offer for Aston Villa midfielder Craig Gardner to £3.5million.

“Big Sam Vokes has come back and he looks two yards quicker, and that’s what you get from playing first-team football. We all know it’s beneficial for them to get that and to go out and play, and Sam’s looked excellent.”

“There’s no chance of him going back out on loan at the minute, because I’ve got Stefan Maierhofer needing a hernia operation and Andy Keogh out for weeks.
